Berthon Spain cleans yachts across Palma de Mallorca. We work berths, marinas and shipyards, including STP Shipyard Palma and Son Oms. Sailing yachts, motor yachts, superyachts: we book all three, either as a one-off washdown or on a regular schedule tied to how the owner uses the boat. Exterior work covers the deck, the superstructure, glass, stainless steel, teak and gelcoat. We rinse the deck and superstructure with freshwater first. Salt dries fast in the Mallorca sun, and once it sets into the gelcoat it takes more than a wash to shift. Glass comes next, cleaned on its own, because a gelcoat product left on a window streaks the moment it dries. Stainless steel and chrome get a wipe on every visit; where oxidation has dulled the finish, we polish it back. We don’t touch the hull below the waterline. No antifouling either. If a yacht needs that, we’ll say so on the quote and point you toward the right team.
Inside, the routine doesn’t change much from boat to boat: cabins, saloon, galley, heads, every time. What changes is the product. Teak joinery, laminate, painted trim and stone each need something different, and using one cleaner across all four is how finishes get ruined. Heads and galleys always get sanitised. Detailing is a separate booking. Stain removal on upholstery and carpet, leather conditioning, polishing and buffing on gelcoat and steel: we price this once we’ve actually seen the boat, not before.

Some owners want a fixed rhythm. Weekly, fortnightly, whatever suits the berth and the season. Regular cleaning holds the yacht at a standard between visits, and nobody has to book each session by hand. Other jobs are single events: after storage, after a maintenance yard period, before a boat goes back into charter. These usually run deeper than a routine clean, simply because more time has passed since the last one.
Three moments drive most of our bookings in Mallorca: an owner flying in, a charter turnaround, and haul-out at STP or Son Oms.
Before an owner or guests step aboard, we run the full pass, inside and out, timed to finish with nobody watching. Charter turnaround moves faster. Heads, cabins, deck: that’s what a guest notices first, so that’s where the time goes. Haul-out is different again. We clean before the lift and after it, so salt from the water and dust from the yard don’t sit on the hull through the whole period ashore.
Berth, marina, shipyard: we go where the boat is. At Marina Port de Mallorca, Real Club Nautico Palma, D-Marine, Club de Mar, Club Nautic Arenal, Port Calanova, Port Adriano.
Nothing extra needs arranging; we bring what the job takes. At STP or Son Oms, we work around whatever haul-out slot the yard has already given you, and we check water and power ahead of time if the job needs pressure washing or a polisher.
Vessel size range: 10m-50m. Bigger jobs, a superyacht or a multi-day detail, get their own slot and their own quote, separate from the standard booking.
