Berthon Spain – Keep Calm & Carry On…

As we now find ourselves in the grip of the COVID 19 pandemic, I would like to reassure our existing clients of our continued support, and offer assistance to any new clients. Although yachting plans may be put on hold for a while, at Berthon Spain we continue to ensure that our clients’ precious assets are kept safe and in good working order.

Having put in place the relevant protocol for staff and client safety, our experienced guardiennage team are still working at full capacity. Whilst this may have to be scaled back in coming weeks, we absolutely intend to carry on checking and maintaining all vessels under our care. Meticulous checks of our yachts’ systems, as well as our 24 hour storm watch, ensure that all our yachts remain safe and in good condition both inside and out.

This year guardiennage could become a more popular option for many. For those of you unable to realise your yachting plans as intended, Berthon Spain can undertake full care of your yacht and send regular reports on systems and maintenance for your peace of mind. You can concentrate on taking care of yourself and your family with the reassurance that your yacht is in the best possible hands. Berthon Spain will keep her in tip top condition, ready for you to jump aboard as soon as this situation comes to an end.

The cost of guardiennage is fairly small, especially when compared with having a full time crew. Berthon Spain guardiennage fleet currently has a large size range of both sailing and motor yachts from 10 to 30 metres and all of our team ensure that they are familiar with every single one of these. As we are all passionate about what we do, when a new yacht arrives with us we are all super keen to go and have a good look round to get to know the yacht and understand how she ticks.

With our experience and qualifications, we are happy to move yachts of up to 40 metres. We are, of course, backed up by a team of engineers who have worked on yachts of these sizes for years and who have an in-depth understanding of how they operate and how they must be maintained. The Berthon Spain team have the knowledge, experience and ability to jump on any yacht and become familiar with her systems within a few hours. The team take care of a whole host of different yachts daily and have a very good sense for any common problem areas and what needs to be checked first.

Please do get in touch with Berthon Spain if we can be of any assistance in this difficult time. We are more than happy to go down to your yacht in your absence and make a report of her current condition and feedback anything that needs to be addressed urgently. Our guardiennage checks are always carried out by a qualified and highly experienced captain. We also offer monthly Guardiennage Packages that are tailored to your individual needs.

Berthon Spain – Keep Calm and Carry On…

We look forward to all of this coming to a close and to welcoming everyone back to enjoy yachting again. Well washed fingers crossed this will happen soon!
