Having grown up in Mallorca, Rose-Marie developed a strong connection to the sea from an early age, spending much of her childhood aboard her uncle’s yacht. That early exposure shaped a lasting passion for the yachting industry and ultimately led to a career spanning over 15 years within the international superyacht sector.
She writes: “My professional journey began with training as a beauty therapist before I retrained as a chef to pursue my passion for cooking and food within the demanding environment of a superyacht galley. This diverse background provided me with a unique combination of service excellence, precision and resilience – qualities essential in high-performance yachting environments.
My years at sea gave me first-hand experience of charter operations, guest expectations and the standards required to maintain exceptional vessels. Having completed a successful career on board, I transitioned ashore and am now based in Mallorca, where I bring my industry knowledge and operational insight to Berthon Spain.
In my current role, I focus on strengthening Berthon Spain’s market presence, driving brand visibility and attracting new clients across refit, maintenance and guardiennage services. I actively develop marketing initiatives, maintain client engagement and ensure the company remains aligned with current industry trends and evolving client expectations.”
Rose-Marie is currently further advancing her expertise through the Superyacht Purser Diploma with the Maritime Training Academy, reflecting her continued commitment to professional growth within the yachting sector.
